New gaming rig build

This system is for a customer that loves to game so he chose to go big on power. I started the build with a BeQuiet Pure Base 600 ATX tower with the orange trim and the smoked glass side. Inside I fitted a BeQuiet  800W STRAIGHT POWER 10 MODULAR PSU which has SILENT WINGS 3 Fluid Dynamic FAN and is 80PLUS GOLD certified to power the hardware.

The Main board is next which is a ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING which supports the 1151 socket Kaby Lake cpu’s and 4 x ddr4 ram slots maxing at 64gb and also 2 x m.2 solid state drive slots it also supports the all-important RGB led strips to make the machine pretty. Attached to the main board is a 512GB ADATA M.2 2280 PCIe GEN3X4 SSDSX7000 with READ/WRITE speeds of 1800/850MB/S. This is used for the OS and applications that are used often, also there is 2 x ADATA Z-SERIES RED 16GB 2400MHz sticks of ram for 32gb total and leaving 2 slots for upgrading in the future. The CPU is the Intel Kaby Lake i7-7700k running at stock speeds with a BeQuiet Pure Rock Heatsink & Fan with 120mm PWM Fan which is rated for 150w cpu’s.

For larger data storage there is a Seagate Barracuda Hard drive of 2 TB with 7200 rpm and buffer size of 64 MB. I added a 2nd 140mm front mounted  BE Quiet Pure Wings 2 fan to provide plenty of fresh air for the cpu and the crowning feature of the system an ASUS STRIX-GTX1080TI with 11GB of GDDR5X ram and 3584 Cuda CORES.

This machine will play any game currently available. I have given the rig a good testing with the new version of Doom in full HD with all the settings on there highest settings of Ultra or best where available and the game play is smooth as silk. The highest temps were CPU 75°C and GPU 73°C while using synthetic tests which are far more demanding.
